Overview
Founded in 1931, Accra Academy is a private senior secondary educational institution offering programs in Science, Economics, Mathematics & ICT, Business, Visual Arts, General Arts leading to the obtention of a West African Senior School Certificate. Accra Academy is a non-denominational day and boarding school enrolling only male students and following the Ghana Education Service curriculum. Accra Academy gained the status of a Government-Assisted School in 1950 and the status of a completely developed senior secondary school in 1981. The school’s mission is to prepare students for life by instilling in them the virtue of truth, honesty, justice, selfless service and pursuit for excellence. Based on its excellent academic results, Accra academy has been ranked among the best performing senior high schools within Ghana and in Africa. Some notable alumni of the academy are Supreme Court Judges, Attorney-Generals, Ministers of State, Speakers of Parliament and Chief Justices.
