Overview
Founded in 2006, the American International School (AIS) is a Christian American Dual-Accredited College Preparatory School, providing quality education for the international community. AIS provides a Biblically based American curriculum for students aged 3 to 18 in Elementary (PreK3-5th grade), Middle (6-8th grade) and High school (9-12th grade). AIS follows the Carnegie Unit (credit) system culminating in students earning an American High School diploma. PSAT and college preparatory classes start at the middle school level while (AP) Advanced Placement classes in High School enable students to qualify for an honors degree and acceptance to worldwide universities. AIS is committed to academic excellence in a loving and welcoming environment through its small school, class size and unique family culture. AIS mission is to prepare minds, transform hearts and empower hands to impact the world. Students have the opportunity to develop 21st century skills as well as compassion through various service projects and community initiatives. Currently, there are 136 enrolled students representing 28 countries with a faculty composed of 65%US Certified Teachers and 35% Expatriates Staff.
