Overview
Founded in 1938, the Presbyterian Senior High School (PRESEC) is a prestigious all male senior high school which follows the Ghana Education Service (GES) curriculum and regulations. PRESEC offers a Christian education based on the Presbyterian tradition and stands for excellence in academic, moral and skill development. The purpose of the school is to provide students with a wholesome education and discipline for the mind, the body and the spirit. PRESEC offers 5 study programmes: General Science, Agricultural Science, Business, General Arts and Visual Arts. Students also have the opportunity to develop special interests and skills through various clubs and societies. A tradition of PRESEC is the ɔdadeɛ (baobab tree), a Ghanaian symbol of knowledge, resourcefulness and strength, which the school strives for students leaving the school to possess. PRESEC is the only school in Ghana which has produced as many doctors, pharmacists, engineers, biochemists, biologists and physicists.
